During the promotional window, you’ll receive 13 Avios for every 10 Avion points transferred. That’s a 30% boost on your miles, which can make a big difference when planning redemptions for flights with British Airways, Qatar Airways, Iberia, or other Oneworld partners.

How to Convert Avion Points to Avios

Converting your points is a straightforward process, but there are a few important details to keep in mind.

Visit the RBC Rewards website: Log into your Avion Rewards account.
Navigate to the "Redeem" tab: From the top menu, select “Redeem.”
Scroll to “Transfer Points”: You’ll find this under the "Invest with points" section.
Choose “Convert to Another Program”: Select British Airways Avios as your partner.
Enter your details: You’ll need your British Airways Executive Club number and the number of Avion points you wish to convert (minimum 10,000).

Once submitted, your points will be transferred—typically within 5–10 business days.

Note: On the final confirmation page, you’ll only see the base amount (e.g., 10,000 Avion = 10,000 Avios). The 30% bonus does not appear on the confirmation page, but rest assured, it will be applied automatically and show up in your Avios account within a few days. Where to View Your Avios Balance

Previously, you could track your Avios points directly on the British Airways website. However, it now appears that detailed transfer activity is best viewed at avios.com. You’ll need to log in with the same credentials you use for your British Airways Executive Club account.

Eligible RBC Cards for Transfer

Not all RBC credit cards offer access to the full Avion Elite reward tier. To participate in this Avios transfer promotion, you’ll need to have an Avion Elite-earning card, such as:

RBC Avion Visa Infinite
RBC Avion Visa Infinite Privilege
RBC Avion Visa Platinum
RBC Avion Visa Business

If you currently hold an Avion Select or Avion Premium card, you must convert those points to Elite points before you can transfer them to British Airways. The good news? This internal conversion is at a 1:1 rate and can be done within the RBC Rewards portal.
